For 26 years, during the first full week of June, I have found myself in the mountains of Northern New Mexico teaching the Bible to young people at a place called Camp Blue Haven.

But it’s more than a place.

It’s a refuge.

Here, I am refreshed.

Here, I am revived.

Here, I am re-charged.

Here, I am re-calibrated.

Here, I am renewed by God’s creation, God’s Word, God’s worship, and God’s people.

And those people have become treasured friends.

Here, I engage in deep conversations with those people.

Here, I enjoy deep laughter with those people.

Here, I worship alongside those people.

Here, I grow in my faith with those people.

This week, I’m here.

And it’s great to be back!
