7 Things I’m Thankful For

Believe it or not, it’s the week of Thanksgiving!

Thanksgiving is such a wonderful holiday because its sole purpose is to give us space for remembering and acknowledging all that we have in our lives for which to be grateful. And since cultivating gratitude is linked to better health, increased optimism, and greater emotional well-being, “counting our blessings” is a good thing to do.

So, here’s 7 things I’m thankful for (in no particular order)…

  1. A Healthy Marriage. My marriage has always been a life-giving source of love, joy, and strength for me.
  2. A Connected and Supportive Family. Family life for me is a blessing that has enriched my life in many ways.
  3. Meaningful Work. Through coaching and training,, I get to invest in the lives of others and add value by helping people grow, develop, and accomplish their goals.
  4. New Experiences and New Friends. As an example, a few months ago I had the opportunity to attend an executive summit in the Redwoods of Northern California with a group of accomplished leaders who are now friends.
  5. My Home Oasis. Several years ago we made the decision to downsize and transformed a condo into a space that is bright, fun, comfortable, and makes us feel like we’re on vacation.
  6. Continued Service to the Church. I am especially grateful that I still get to serve the church as a frequent guest preacher, church consultant, and coach to ministers.
  7. My Martin Guitar. It’s fun to play and fun to learn a new skill, and the fact that I have much more to learn is exciting to me.

What are you thankful for?
