Next week I will have the great privilege of speaking and teaching at Camp Blue Haven in New Mexico, a church camp for 5th-12th grade students. It is easily one of my favorite weeks of the year. This year we will be covering the book of Philippians, and in the first chapter of that letter the Apostle Paul prays a prayer for his audience that will be my prayer for my students:
“And this is my prayer: that your love may abound more and more in knowledge and depth of insight, so that you may be able to discern what is best and may be pure and blameless on the day of Christ, filled with the fruit of righteousness that comes through Jesus Christ – to the glory and praise of God” (Philippians 1:9-11, NIV).
Amen.
