Born.
That word is filled with promise and possibility.
Born.
It announces the existence of something or someone new.
It proclaims, “I am here.”
Born.
It speaks of creation.
It gives a nod to the miraculous.
Born.
It’s an experience common to all living things.
Including Jesus, and…
Because Jesus was born,
I have a faithful and merciful High Priest before God (Hebrews 2:17).
Because Jesus was born,
he is able to help me when I am tested (Hebrews 2:18).
Because Jesus was born,
I no longer remain in the dark (John 12:46).
Because Jesus was born,
I can be rescued from this evil world in which we live (Galatians 1:4).
Because Jesus was born,
I have been blessed with every spiritual blessing (Ephesians 1:3).
Because Jesus was born,
I can be redeemed and my sins can be forgiven (Ephesians 1:7).
Because Jesus was born,
I can be reconciled to God (Colossians 1:22).
Because Jesus was born,
I can be born of God and win the battle against the world (1 John 5:4-5).
Born.
Jesus was born to save people from sin (Matthew 1:21).
Born.
Jesus was born to be “God with us” (Matthew 1:23).
Born.
Jesus was born to give me new birth and new life (Titus 3:4-5).
Born.
Jesus was born because he loves me (John 3:16).
