“Think About Such Things”

Research and our own life experience tell us that what we think about and dwell on mentally determines our mood, our outlook on life, our ability to handle adversity in positive ways, our direction in life, our emotional health, and the state of our relationships, among other things.  In other words, what we fill our minds with matters – greatly.

And with so much negativity in our society, it is even more important that we discipline ourselves to think about things that lift us up and call us to be our best selves.

So, I want to encourage you to spend some time meditating on the following passage of Scripture, and consider how you can apply this to your life in consistent and practical ways…

“Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable – if anything is excellent or praiseworthy – think about such things” (Philippians 4:8, NIV).
