In Monday’s post I admitted that I was physically out of shape.
That’s not the first time I’ve said that.
The other day I was working out at the gym and saw one of the members of my church family. This guy is in shape and is a regular at this gym.
As I was leaving, I walked by him and said, “Man, I’m out of shape.”
He gave me an encouraging smile and said, “Well, just keep coming back.”
That’s not the first time I’ve heard that.
I hear that same line whenever I attend Celebrate Recovery at our church. During the “chip ceremony,” whenever there’s an absence of someone receiving a specific chip the CR family says in unison, “Keep coming back!”
Because that’s the key to getting where we want to go.
Whether we are trying to stay sober or trying to lose weight, we must keep showing up at CR or the gym. We must keep putting one foot in front of the other toward our dreams. We must keep trusting the process. We must keep seeking God.
We must keep coming back.
No matter what change you want to see in your life – you can change!
So get started, and keep coming back.
Great stuff. I love the way God moves in our lives. Keep doing what you are doing.
