On Monday I wrote about a man who read a passage of Scripture during a worship service this past Sunday.
Now, that may not seem like a big deal to you – but it was a huge deal for this man!
Like many people, this man is very uncomfortable standing in front of a large group of people to speak. But when I asked him to read a passage of Scripture to our church family during worship, he said “yes.”
Why would he do that?
He told me, “I’ve been praying that God would push me in areas I need to grow in, so thank you for giving me an opportunity to face a fear for the glory of God.”
Wow!
What an incredible perspective.
Seeing that man stand on our stage and read a portion of the Bible to our church family – knowing how scared, nervous, and uncomfortable he was – made me wonder…
Do I have the courage to pray that God would push me in areas I need to grow in?
