7 Ways to Have a Great Week

Here’s 7 things you can do to make this week a positive and productive one…

Pray

Prayer keeps you connected to your Creator which, in turn, keeps you focused on the bigger picture. Without this, you will more easily become overwhelmed by events, defined by your circumstances, and distracted by meaningless minutiae.

Focus on Your Weekly Big 3

Identify your top three priorities for the week and focus on getting them done. This will increase your feelings of productiveness and build momentum for the rest of your “to-do’s.”

Write an Encouraging Note

Take a few minutes to handwrite an encouraging note to someone. It could be someone you work with, someone who has recently done something nice for you, or someone who  is going through a challenging time. Not only will this be a blessing to another person; it will be a blessing to you too.

Read a Book

One evening this week, set aside some time to turn off the TV and crack open a book (or plug into an audiobook). Learning something new, being inspired, or simply “decompressing” with a story from a book will refresh your spirit.

Go For a Walk

Moving your body is a great way to motivate your mind.

Connect with an Energy-Supplier

We all know “energy-vampires” who suck the life out of us, which is why it is so important to spend time with “energy-suppliers” who pour life back into us. Make it a point to connect with one of your energy-suppliers this week through lunch, coffee, or a phone call. And don’t forget to be an energy-supplier for somebody else!

Keep a Gratitude Journal

Each night this week, as you’re getting ready for bed or as you’re sitting around the dinner table with your family, write down (or share) three things from the day for which you are thankful. This will help you maintain a positive attitude and teach you to look for the good things in your life that fill you with gratitude.

Have a great week!
