Congratulations! (A Repost)

On April 27, I posted the following message on this blog and I thought you might need to read/hear these words again. Stay safe, stay healthy, and stay positive, friends!

As we get another week started, I want to take a moment to congratulate you.

Yes, you!

“For what?,” you say.

I want to congratulate you on your amazing ability to adapt to a volatile, unknown situation and make the best of it.

Over the last 6 weeks (or so), you have had to do things you hadn’t done before, learn how to use a piece of technology you’ve never used before (Zoom, anyone?), adjust to a new work situation you’ve never been in before, and help your family and friends survive something none of us have experienced before.

You’ve been stretched way beyond your comfort zone…

and yet…

you’re still standing.

You’ve adapted and learned and adjusted.

You’ve been creative.

You’ve looked for opportunities in the midst of the challenges.

You’ve stayed connected to the people who bring you joy.

You’ve looked beyond yourself and to the needs of others.

You’ve stayed positive and you haven’t given up.

And what does this mean?

It means that you are capable of more than you thought you were.

You can do more than you think you can do.

You can learn more than you give yourself credit for.

You can survive more than you think you can.

So, congratulations!!!

Now, keep it up and have a great day.
