Two New Resources for December

Throughout this current pandemic, our wonderful ministry staff at Alameda has been consistently providing resources that are designed to root people in God’s Word, maintain a sense of congregational community, and inspire acts of service to others. The rationale behind these resources is that investing time reading the Bible, caring for one another, and focusing on others instead of ourselves will keep us encouraged and hope-filled as we strive to persevere through a challenging season.

For the month of December, we are rolling out a new Prayer & Scripture Experience and a fun, service-oriented adventure called “The 12 Gifts of Christmas.”

December’s Prayer & Scripture Experience will remind us of what Christ has done for us and of who we are in Christ. Following the lectio divina responsive reading and praying model, you will be developing a more intimate relationship with Christ as you go through the Christmas season.

You can find the Prayer & Scripture Experience daily reading plan here.

The “12 Gifts of Christmas” are 12 opportunities to serve others in some simple and fun ways. You can do all 12 or you can do 1 per week during December. You can do these as an individual, as a family, or with a small group of friends. This is a great way to share the light of Christ just when people need it most.

You can find all the information about “The 12 Gifts of Christmas” here.

I hope these resources will be a source of encouragement and inspiration to you.

Let’s make December a great month!
