A few weeks ago my family visited Yosemite National Park. While there, we toured a museum that included a section about mountain climbing.

And that’s where we came across The Climber’s Credo that consists of the following 13 statements…

1. Show Respect
2. Seek Adventures with Minimal Effect on Others
3. Ask for Consent and Offer Civility
4. Act with Humility
5. Seek Knowledge
6. Preserve Wilderness Character
7. Exercise Restraint
8. Prepare to be Safe
9. Take the Lead
10. Embrace Community and Inclusivity
11. Revel in the Experience
12. Be a Steward
13. Honor the Heritage and Legacy of Yosemite

That’s a pretty good recipe for effective leadership.
