A Prepared Partner.

I am a Professional Certified Coach through the International Coaching Federation and a Certified Team Coach and Certified Change Leadership Coach through the prestigious Center for Executive Coaching.

I hold two master’s degrees and multiple certifications covering such topics as organizational leadership, systems theory, conflict resolution and mediation, counseling, communication, project management, personality development, and leader-employee relationships.

An Experienced Leader.

With over 30 years experience on the frontlines of leadership, I’ve been where you are and I know the challenges of leading people and systems. I have a long list of accomplishments and an even longer list of mistakes. Through it all, I have created a track record of serving others with integrity, empathy, and wisdom and gained a reputation for helping leaders and teams maximize their potential.

  • How to Have Healthy Relationships

Yesterday, I was honored to co-preach with Alameda’s Connections Minister, Payton Minzenmayer.  Our sermon was part of a current sermon series called “Transformed,” in which we are looking at the various characteristics of a person whose life has been transformed by Jesus Christ.  You can view or listen to those sermons here. One aspect of…

  • Camp Blue Haven (Five on Friday)

This week I am teaching Bible at Camp Blue Haven in New Mexico.  I have been coming to this place for over 20 years to invest in the younger generations of Christ-followers, and it has been one of the greatest blessings of my life. Here are 5 things I love most about CBH: The People…

  • The Power of the Spirit

I have been blessed by Henri Nouwen’s Bread for the Journey daily devotional book.  Today’s entry reminds us of the power of the Holy Spirit. In and through Jesus we come to understand that God’s power is not the power that controls, dictates, and commands.  It is the power that heals, reconciles, and unites.  It…

  • An Encouraging Word for Your Monday Morning

Let’s face it: Mondays can be rough. For some, Mondays signal the beginning of another week of grinding out the same workload that never seems to stop or to be worth all the effort.  Another battle with the to-do list, another looming confrontation with the boss, co-workers, or customers, another bout of anxiety wondering what…

This week’s Five on Friday is inspired by a recent tweet from The Gospel Coalition that identified four ways that the church today should seek to be an alternate society within our culture, just as the New Testament church did in their time.  Those four characteristics (plus one that I added) are: Multi-ethnicity The church…
