Every Friday on this blog I post five recommendations of things I think are worth your time to check out. Here’s this week’s “Five on Friday”…
Book
I recently read Tom Friedman’s newest book Thank You for Being Late: An Optimist’s Guide to Thriving in the Age of Accelerations. It’s a handy guide for making sense of what’s happening in our society as it examines the impact that the rapid rate of scientific and technological advancement is having on the human psyche. As a Christian, this book further clarified for me the great opportunity Christians have in this day and age to point people to Christ.
Blog Post
In a post entitled “This is Our Time” Trevin Wax urges Christians to stop whining about the challenges we face in this world, embrace the fact that this is the day and age in which we live, and get on with the work of being faithful witnesses of Jesus Christ in this time and place.
Podcast
My friend and co-worker Payton Minzenmayer has started a new podcast called Deeper that examines the forces that shape our culture. Check it out!
Song
I love this song by Zach Williams!
