This past Sunday during the Shepherd’s Prayer in our worship service, one of our congregation’s spiritual shepherds prayed an incredible prayer over us and for us.
The line in his prayer that really stood out to me was when he asked God to put people in our lives “who would rebuke us when we make everything about ourselves.”
Wow!
Have you ever prayed for something like that?
Have you ever asked God to work that way in your life?
Are you courageous enough to invite God to place people in your life who will challenge you to become the man or woman God wants you to be?
That prayer Sunday morning reminded me that I need to be praying bold prayers, and that I need to be humble and strong enough to ask God to shape me into who He wants me to be – even if that disrupts my comfort level.
