Recommended Books on Marriage

Over the last two months, our congregation has been hosting a free marriage seminar that has been a great source of encouragement and enlightenment to all who have attended.

Each week in our seminar, we give away one of four books on marriage that we highly recommend to every engaged or married couple.  You might want to check these out for yourself.

  1. Many women don’t find Love and Respect an edifying book. I wish people would think twice before recommending the book.

    1. I wasn’t aware of this. What are the objections to it?

  2. I really don’t see myself in the pink and blue metaphors in the book. I have always worked in my marriage, so some of the examples don’t apply. Respect is deeply important to me. For a more expansive critique of the book you can go to the “To Love Honor and Vacuum” blog.

I’ve been reading “To Love, Honor and Vacuum.” I like it very much and have shared the blog with friends.
