Yesterday, we celebrated the fact that Jesus has indeed overcome the world through his resurrection from the dead. That truth is an endless source of hope for all who make Jesus their King, and Jesus’ resurrection gives us a firm and secure anchor for our souls (Hebrews 6:19) that empowers us to live boldly and confidently no matter how scary the world around us becomes.
In this post, I provide links to three resources that will encourage you to “take heart” during our current circumstances. The resources are a song, a sermon, and scholarship. The first is a newly released song by Matthew West that highlights the words of Jesus from John 16:33. The second is a sermon that will inspire you to anchor your life in four truths that are forever established by Jesus’ resurrection: God loves, God cares, God rules, and God wins. The third is an article that summarizes some of the scholarly evidence behind the resurrection of Jesus.
All of these are given to help you see (and even feel) that you have every reason to “take heart” in our current cultural climate so that you will not give up.
