A Pioneering Coach.

As the Leadership Trainer & Workplace Coach for the Oklahoma Department of Human Services, I created and oversee the first-of-its-kind internal coaching program for a state agency in the history of Oklahoma state government.

A Prepared Partner.

I am a Professional Certified Coach through the International Coaching Federation and a Certified Team Coach and Certified Change Leadership Coach through the prestigious Center for Executive Coaching.

I hold two master’s degrees and multiple certifications covering such topics as organizational leadership, systems theory, conflict resolution and mediation, counseling, communication, project management, personality development, and leader-employee relationships.

An Experienced Leader.

With over 30 years experience on the frontlines of leadership, I’ve been where you are and I know the challenges of leading people and systems. I have a long list of accomplishments and an even longer list of mistakes. Through it all, I have created a track record of serving others with integrity, empathy, and wisdom and gained a reputation for helping leaders and teams maximize their potential.

  • Applaud God!

In a few days the football stadium that’s just a few miles from my office will be filled with the sound of applause for a group of young college students playing a game – and I am just as excited as anyone!  But I wonder, “When was the last time I applauded God?” The Message…

  • “Born to Run” & Preaching

One of my favorite musical artists of all-time is Bruce Springsteen, and this year marks the 40th anniversary of his seminal album “Born to Run.”  The story goes that this was a make-or-break album for “The Boss.”  If this project did not gain traction and sell well then his label was probably going to drop…

  • Can A Cup of Water Change a Life?

Can a simple cup of water change the course of a person’s life? Jesus seems to think so. In Mark 9:41 Jesus says the following to his apostle John: “For truly, I say to you, whoever gives you a cup of water to drink because you belong to Christ will by no means lose his…

  • Tonight I’m leading a discussion on Dietrich Bonhoeffer’s classic work Life Together.  The genius of this book is that forces us to think deeply about the meaning, function, and form of Christian community.  Here’s a brief outline of the book: Thesis: The church is formed by Christ to be the seed of the Kingdom of…

  • 2015 Global Leadership Summit

I recently attended the 2015 Global Leadership Summit put on by Willow Creek Community Church and simulcast at Crossings Community Church in OKC.  I have been participating in this conference for years and highly recommend it to anyone who is interested in growing as a leader.  With the exception of two speakers, this year’s faculty…
