A Pioneering Coach.

As the Leadership Trainer & Workplace Coach for the Oklahoma Department of Human Services, I created and oversee the first-of-its-kind internal coaching program for a state agency in the history of Oklahoma state government.

A Prepared Partner.

I am a Professional Certified Coach through the International Coaching Federation and a Certified Team Coach and Certified Change Leadership Coach through the prestigious Center for Executive Coaching.

I hold two master’s degrees and multiple certifications covering such topics as organizational leadership, systems theory, conflict resolution and mediation, counseling, communication, project management, personality development, and leader-employee relationships.

An Experienced Leader.

With over 30 years experience on the frontlines of leadership, I’ve been where you are and I know the challenges of leading people and systems. I have a long list of accomplishments and an even longer list of mistakes. Through it all, I have created a track record of serving others with integrity, empathy, and wisdom and gained a reputation for helping leaders and teams maximize their potential.

  • The Six E’s of Discipleship

This past Sunday in my sermon I referenced Alameda’s “Six E’s” of discipleship.  These “Six E’s” are spiritual habits and practices that help people develop into committed followers of Jesus Christ.  They do this in two ways: first, by creating space for the Holy Spirit to shape our will and transform our character in a…

  • The Work Habits of a Leader

Next week is the Global Leadership Summit, which is an annual 2-day event that focuses on equipping leaders from all walks of life on how to increase their leadership impact and effectiveness.  As the Summit says, “Everyone gets better when the leader gets better.” I’ve been attending the Summit for 10 years, and it has…

  • A Surprising Statistic

LifeWay Research recently published the results of a research project on the state of evangelism in the American “evangelical” church today.  Their findings were very interesting, but one statistic in particular stood out to me.  When asked to respond to the statement, “If a friend of mine really values their faith, I don’t mind them…

  • Revival: A Prayer (Inspired by Psalm 85)

Every day at 3:20 p.m. I get a reminder on my phone that tells me it’s time to stop what I’m doing and pray for the Alameda Church of Christ, the wonderful church family to which I belong.  I’ve been wanting to go deeper in these prayers so I have started to write a prayer…
